Japanese Language Classes for Children

	Wednesdays, April 7 - June 23 (12 weeks)	3:30 - 5:30 pm (2 hours a week)	Japanese for Children	Beginners	This afterschool Japanese language class is for children with no prior knowledge of Japanese. In this class, children learn Japanese through fun and games, songs, stories, flash cards, some written work. They will learn fundamentals of listening and speaking and correct pronunciation. Some kanji and hiragana characters will be taught, All that and we also make learning fun! Ages: 6-12. The teacher is a native speaker of Japanese with experience teaching Japanese to children. Vietnamese Language Classes for Children

Vietnamese group classes for children are regularly offered. We need a minimum of 4 students to hold a class. For children and families with children, private group classes are available. Please call to arrange for private or group classes. The teacher is a native speaker of Vietnamese, with many years experience teaching children, with excellent English. Laotian Language Classes for Children

	Thursdays, April 8 - June 24 (12 weeks)	4-6 pm (2 hours/week)	Lao Language for Children	Beginners, Level 1	This Lao language class, for beginners, assumes no prior knowledge of Laotian. In this class, children learn Laotian through fun and games, songs, stories, flash cards, some written work. The class will concentrate on speaking and listening, but not to the exclusion of some reading and writing of Lao script. A tonal language, Lao is part of the Tai family, closely related to the Isan language of NE Thailand. The two are often considered one language. The class provides an important foundation for further studies in the language. The teacher is a native speaker of Lao, with good English. Classes are kept small.
