Cambodian (Khmer) for Adults |

This class provides an introduction to the Cambodian (Khmer) Language. It begins with a study of Khmer script, and it's alphabet of vowels, diphthongs, consonants, and the basic sounds of the language, toward correct pronunciation. Khmer is not a tonal language, but rather syllabic. Khmer script is similar in appearance and usage to Lao and Thai script, which were based on the Khmer system.
