Registration and Fees for Language Classes

To register for a class, please send us a letter with your name, (your child's name if applicable), address, phone number, email address, and the class you are registering for, to the following address:

Please include with your letter a check made out to the Bodhi Tree Center. Language classes cost $240^* for 12-week classes meeting 2 hours a week, $180^* for 12-week classes meeting 1.5 hours a week, $180^* for 8-week classes meeting 2 hours a week, and $120^* for 8-week classes meeting 1.5 hours a week. We'll acknowledge receipt and enrollment as soon as we receive it. Please note that a textbook is also required for all adult classes, and for children's non-beginner's classes. We'll have copies available for purchase on the first day of class. You can purchase the book at that time, or with your registration.

Makeup classes: if a student cannot make the first class of an absolute beginners class, we provide a free half-hour make up class prior to the second class. Makeup classes after that are on a per-fee basis.

Refund policy: Students have until the end of day on the first day of class to notify us of their decision to drop a class. There is a $10 administrative fee for cancelations, and a also a fee to cover the cost of first day of instruction. Because we keep our classes small and registration lean (up to the first day of class), we cannot honor refunds after first day of class.

^* Rates quoted are for classes that have a minimum of 4 students. For classes with less than 4 students, additional fees may apply to keep the class open.

Preschoolers' Mandarin Chinese Immersion Program

We offer 3-day and 5-day classes for preschoolers (ages 3-5 approx.). Hours are from 9:30 am - 2 pm (4.5 hours per day). Contact us to schedule an appointment: we'd like to meet you and your child(ren)! Half-day programs also available for the very young.

Fees: Vary according to days and program, but include $100 non-refundable registration and materials fee.

Homeschoolers' Mandarin Chinese Language and Culture Program

We offer 1- and 2-day per week programs (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for children ages 6-12. Full days are from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm (5 hours per day). Half days also available. Children in the full-day program must bring a lunch with them. Contact us to schedule an appoointment: we'd like to meet you and your child(ren)!

Fees: Vary according to days and program, but include $100 non-refundable registration and materials fee.

Afterschoolers' Mandarin Chinese Language and Culture Program

We offer 3- and 5-day a week, 12-week programs in Chinese language and culture, fun and games, including homework assistance, for children ages 6-12. Hours are 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm (2 hours per day), Monday-Friday. Enrollment is quarterly. Contact us to schedule an appoointment: we'd like to meet you and your child(ren)!
