Introduction

The Bodhi Tree Language Center, in SE Portland since 2003, is an Asian languages service provider specializing in Mandarin Chinese instruction. Our teachers are all native speakers of Mandarin with many years experience teaching children. Besides having excellent command of English, they also make learning fun.

2008-2009 School Year Program

The Mandarin Chinese Afterschool Program at Arthur Academy Portland is a year-round program. It will be divided into 3 sessions, one per term -- fall, winter and spring. Each session will be 10 weeks long, meeting once a week for 1 hour a week. Total fee for one session is $80, for 2 sessions it's $160, and for 3 sessions it's $240. Students should plan to attend all three sessions in order to obtain maximum benefit from the program.

Now enrolling in the Mandarin Chinese Afterschool program for the 2008-2009 school year at the Arthur Academy Portland School.

There are 3 terms in the school year. Each term the class will last for 10 weeks, meeting once a week for one hour a week. Classes are kept small to maximize the learning experience. This will be a mixed-level class of beginner level students. Students who have attended prior classes and students who are absolute beginners are welcome.

How to Register

To register, please send us a letter with the following registration material:

• Your child's name and age
• your name,
• address,
• phone number,
• email address,
• the class you are registering for ("Portland Arthur Academy After-School Mandarin Chinese Program"), and
• a check made out to the "Bodhi Tree Center" for $80 for term (or $120 for winter and spring term).

Please mail materials to Bodhi Tree Center, 5403 SE Center St. Portland, OR 97206. On reception of your registration materials, we will contact you and let you know that your child is enrolled.
